About the Role

Law Empire is seeking a motivated and experienced Lawyer to join our growing legal practice in Cannington, Western Australia.

We are particularly seeking a lawyer with strong knowledge and practical experience in Western Australian Family Law and Civil Litigation. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with our legal team.

Key Areas of Practice

The role will primarily involve:

• Family Law, including parenting and custody matters, property settlements, divorce and related family law disputes.
• Civil Litigation, including advising clients, preparing legal documents, correspondence, pleadings and court materials, and assisting with dispute resolution and litigation proceedings.
• Conducting client consultations and providing clear, practical legal advice.
• Preparing affidavits, submissions, applications and other legal documentation.
• Managing files from commencement through to resolution.
• Negotiating with opposing parties and solicitors.
• Preparing for and appearing in relevant courts and tribunals, where appropriately authorised.
• Maintaining accurate file management and ensuring compliance with professional obligations.
• Working closely with senior lawyers and other members of the Law Empire team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is admitted as a Lawyer in Australia and holds, or is eligible to hold, an unrestricted practising certificate in Western Australia.
• Has strong knowledge of Western Australian Family Law.
• Has practical experience in civil litigation.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Is confident dealing directly with clients and other legal professionals.
• Can manage competing priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
• Has strong attention to detail and sound legal judgment.
• Can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and a client-focused approach.
• Is available to work full-time from our Cannington office.
