INTERMEDIATE & SENIOR ACCOUNTANTS – MACKAY,  REGIONAL NORTH QLD – ESTABLISHED ACCOUNTING FIRM – FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABLE (JOB ID 1062)

Our client is a long-established and highly regarded Chartered Accounting firm with deep roots in the Mackay business community. With a strong reputation built over decades, the firm provides a full suite of accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse client base across individuals, businesses and SMSFs. 

The Role: 

• Manage a portfolio of clients under the guidance of experienced Directors and senior team members 

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and SMSFs 

• Prepare BAS and other compliance obligations across various entity structures 

• Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies regarding client matters 

• Work across a diverse client base with exposure to multiple industries 

• Assist with ongoing client accounting, taxation and advisory matters 

• Maintain accurate documentation and strong compliance standards 

• Build and maintain professional client relationships through quality service delivery 

Senior Accountants will also: 

• Review work prepared by junior team members 

• Provide mentoring and day-to-day guidance to Intermediate Accountants 

• Assist with workflow coordination and client management responsibilities 

About You: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business 

• CA or CPA qualified, commenced or willing to undertake studies 

• 2+ years’ Australian public practice experience for Intermediate level 

• 4+ years’ Australian public practice experience for Senior level 

• Experience preparing compliance work across various entity structures 

• Strong understanding of Australian taxation and accounting principles 

• Experience using Xero, MYOB, Reckon or Intuit accounting systems 

• Strong communication and organisational skills 

• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines 

• Professional, reliable and team-oriented approach
