This is an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Planner to contribute to the future growth and development of the Georges River area. You’ll work across a diverse range of strategic planning projects, including LEPs, DCPs, planning policies and land use strategies, while undertaking research and providing professional planning advice.Working within a collaborative Strategic Planning team, you’ll have the opportunity to build your experience across a broad range of planning matters, engage with key stakeholders and contribute to projects that have a genuine impact on our local community.

What We are Looking ForTertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or related fieldDemonstrated experience in strategic planning and policy developmentUnderstanding of contemporary land use planning processes and practicesDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with the community and other professional bodies involved in the industryDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively with other Divisions within CouncilDemonstrated ability to present accurate, clear, concise and timely reports on matters affecting the Directorate’s operationsDemonstrated experience in a problem-solving approach when dealing with complex planning and development issues
