Estimator / Administration All Rounder

About the role

Working closely with the office and estimating team, you will perform a varied role suited to someone who is highly organised, computer literate, has excellent attention to detail and is keen to learn and develop their skills within the construction and plumbing industry. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple tasks, process information quickly and accurately, and takes pride in completing work to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Marking up plans for new residential builds, homes and commercial projects

• Reviewing building plans and identifying plumbing and drainage requirements

• Locating and marking up waste points, drainage points and other plumbing services within slabs

• Assisting with estimating and preparing minor quotations for plumbing and drainage works

• Reading and interpreting construction plans

• Using online plumbing and business platforms relevant to the plumbing and building industry

• Performing basic AutoCAD tasks and mark-ups

• Entering and maintaining data accurately across systems

• Completing general office administration and record keeping

• Managing emails and correspondence through Microsoft Outlook

About you

• Highly computer literate and comfortable completing approximately 90% of work digitally

• Strong Microsoft Office skills and confident using Outlook

• Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy

• Can read and understand plans or is willing and able to learn

• Has an interest in construction, plumbing, drainage or the building industry

• Willing to learn new software, systems and processes

• Adaptable and able to take direction

• Can process information quickly and accurately

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
