What are we looking for?

Scooper responsibilities include:

Customer service and engagement:

· Greet and serve customers with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.

· Educate customers about the flavors and products, providing recommendations based on their preferences.

· Maintain a positive, energetic, and engaging atmosphere for customers.

Ice cream preparation and service:

· Accurately scoop and serve ice cream, sundaes, shakes, and other menu items according to established portion sizes and presentation guidelines.

· Ensure that all ice cream products are prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.

Cash handling and point of sale (POS) operation:

· Operate the cash register, handle payments, and provide correct change to customers.

· Keep accurate records of transactions and handle customer inquiries related to pricing and payments.

Store maintenance and cleaning:

· Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure a sanitary and organised workspace.

· Restock supplies, toppings, and condiments as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Compliance and safety:

· Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

· Adhere to food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment for employees and customers.

Team collaboration:

· Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive team dynamic.

· Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient store operations.

Work Environment

Scoop Shop is open 7 days per week, morning, and evening hours; individual must be willing to work a flexible rotating roster across nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays. Suitable as n after school, week end and holiday job for school age youths.
