Senior Associate, Employment

About the role

Our client is seeking a senior lawyer to advise on all aspects of workplace law including employment disputes and advisory matters. You will have exposure to a quality client base of both employers and private clients across a wide range of industries which makes for an interesting and varied and practice.

You will enjoy a range of work including advising on employment entitlements and contracts, workplace relations, discrimination, harassment and bullying and, termination, unfair dismissal, redundancy and other breach of contract claims. You will advise on investigations by regulators and participate in providing training in relation to employment and industrial relations matters.

In addition to managing your own matters, you will mentor and supervise two mid-level Associates and a number of junior lawyers.

About you

This is a great opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer with a practical, commercial approach to make a career move and to work for a specialist firm. 

You will have experience in employment, workplace relations, work safety and advice/audit and compliance matters; the ability to think commercially and strong technical legal skills, drafting and advisory. You will have strong litigation skills and be confident appearing in Fair Work Commission hearings and conciliations and working with Counsel in relation to Federal Court matters.
