About the role:

• Preparing court filings, affidavits, subpoenas, briefs and service documents.
• Managing execution packs, DocuSign, cost agreements and disclosures.
• Opening, maintaining and closing matters, including conflicts, AML and KYC.
• Monitoring court dates, deadlines and key milestones.
• Maintaining accurate and well-organised electronic files.
• Assisting with billing, WIP, unbilled time and debtor reports.
• Following up overdue invoices and escalating problem accounts.
• Managing disbursements and trust-related administration.
• Providing first-line support across the firm’s legal technology systems.
• Identifying system issues and recommending process improvements.
• Managing client correspondence, scheduling and matter updates.
  
  

The ideal candidate:

• An experienced Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant with strong litigation or dispute resolution experience.
• A solid understanding of court processes, litigation documents and the practical requirements of running a file.
• Strong document production, formatting and proofreading skills.
• Experience independently supporting busy lawyers and managing competing deadlines.
• Highly organised, proactive and confident taking ownership of matters.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
• Comfortable learning new technology and becoming the internal expert across legal systems.
• Clear and professional communication skills with lawyers, clients and external stakeholders.
  
  

Experience with Actionstep, legal AI platforms, billing, WIP, debtors or process improvement will be highly regarded.
