Set in the heart of Surfers Paradise and on the doorstep of the famous Surfers Paradise Beach, Island Gold Coast boutique hotel is looking for a passionate and experienced Chefs to join our team!!

-          Sous Chef -  Goldie's Bar and Bistro  - Full time position

-          Chef de Partie - Casual positions

-          Commis Chef - Full time & Casual positions

This position's roster includes weekend and evening hours.

Skills and Experience

·         Enjoy working in a busy environment with a true passion for cooking and a strong emphasis on presentation.

·         Proven ability working in a large capacity venue.

·         Demonstrate high-level proficiency across all stations.

·         Follow venue menu planning for preparation and cooking.

 ·        Experience in production kitchens is advantageous but not essential

·         A keen eye for detail and a positive and proactive approach.

·         Strong and detailed business acumen for kitchen operations

·         Proven ability to lead by example and foster a creative and organised environment where team members take pride in their work.

·         Excellent organisational skills.

·         Mentor staff and foster a positive, respectful, and efficient kitchen culture.

Qualifications:

·         At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

·         Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

·         3 years relevant experience in a busy restaurant

·         Food Handling Skill Set
