About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Area Leader in Religious Education (POR 2) to join St Columba College, commencing in Term 1 2027. This role leads curriculum planning, pedagogy, teacher development and coordinating the administration processes for students who are resourced as well as other students who have been identified as requiring support.
Your Responsibilities:
Aim for high standards in teaching and learning to achieve high academic outcomes and improve overall student achievement in the Religious Education Learning Area.
Collaborate with the Director of Spirituality to Provide inspirational leadership within the Religious Education Learning Area to staff and students.
Establish and implement a Religious Education program that honours the teachings and practices of the Anglican and Catholic churches.
Implement a Religious Education curriculum that is engaging, thought provoking, dynamic and relevant for students.
About You:
You’ll need:
Current Teacher Registration in South Australia and relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience.
High level interpersonal skills to interact positively with the College community and be a positive role model and professional representative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to actively and positively uphold and contribute to the culture and ethos of the College.
The successful candidates will be required to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, Applicant Declaration Form and RRHAN.
