Spartan Double Glazing is a national uPVC window and door manufacturer operating across Victoria, the ACT, South Australia and Tasmania. We design, manufacture and install premium double-glazed uPVC windows and doors in-house, end to end - from raw profile through to a finished job signed off on site.

The Role

Every business has one person who actually keeps the place running. The one who makes sure everyone gets paid on time, the invoices go out, the clients get answers and the calendar holds together. At Spartan, that person is you.

Based at our Sunshine office, you will sit at the centre of the business - across the money, the clients and the schedule. Our Victorian factory is on the same site, so when a client needs an answer about their job, you are a short walk from the people building it. You will work directly with the Directors and our Installation Manager, and you will have real authority to run your patch your way.

This is a role for someone who likes variety and hates being micromanaged. One hour you are running payroll, the next you are booking a service call, the next you are chasing a progress payment. If you want to do one thing on repeat all day, this is not your job. If you want to own the whole engine room, keep reading.

What you will own

• Payroll, end to end - weekly runs for our national team, super, leave and final pays, processed on time, every time

• Accounts receivable - raising deposit, progress and final invoices, reconciling payments in Xero and keeping the debtors list short

• Accounts payable - processing supplier bills and keeping our manufacturing partners paid and happy

• Client service - being the first voice our clients hear, handling enquiries and turning frustrated callers into fans

• Bookings and scheduling - coordinating service calls and check measures with our Installation Manager so the calendar actually works

• The office - the hundred small things that keep the place moving

The tech

You will not be fighting spreadsheets and sticky notes. Spartan runs on Xero plus our own custom-built software platform - CRM, scheduling and job management built in-house, by us, for exactly this business. The systems do the repetitive work so you can do the thinking. And your feedback goes straight to the people who build the software, because they work for the same company.

• $75,000 - $90,000 + super, based on experience

About you

• Bookkeeping experience with Xero (or similar - you pick up systems fast)

• You have run payroll before and understand super, leave and award basics

• Customer service instincts - calm on the phone, clear in writing, unflappable under pressure

• Organized to a fault - you close loops and you do not drop balls

• Experience in construction, trades, manufacturing or building products is a bonus, not a must

• You take ownership - when something is yours, it gets done
