National Retail Manager

The National Retail Manager is based in Nunawading, Vic and is responsible for providing strategic leadership across the national retail network, driving customer service excellence, operational performance and commercial results.  The role is crucial in the transformation of the retail offering in delivering an exceptional customer experience across all retail locations through a strong focus on continuous improvement.

 Role Overview:

o    Provide national leadership and strategic oversight of all retail customer service operations, driving a high-performance culture that delivers exceptional customer experiences balanced with commercial outcomes

o    Own the National Retail P&L and deliver revenue growth in line with National Sales Strategy to drive outlet performance with sales and marketing initiatives

o    Develop, implement and continuously enhance national customer service strategies, service standards and operational frameworks ensuring alignment with strategic imperatives

o    Drive the evolution of retail operations through innovative and scalable transformation programs to develop and deliver the future state of retail

o    Lead the optimisation of retail showroom presentation, inventory management and fulfilment operations nationally in collaboration with the Supply Team to ensure stores maximise sales opportunities

o    Oversee the recruitment, capability development and succession planning of Retail Service Managers to ensure leadership capability, operational consistency and ongoing development across retail service

o    Establish effective frameworks for communication of business updates, operational changes and strategic initiatives driving engagement and consistency across all teams nationally

o    Provide operational oversight of key retail functions nationally, including financial controls, workforce planning, inventory management, people leadership, workplace health and safety, security, compliance and operations

o    Partner with business stakeholders to drive operational excellence across the retail network ensuring consistent execution of national standards, effective workforce planning, onboarding and training programs

o    Identify, lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the national retail network levering customer insights and stakeholder feedback to enhance productivity, service delivery and commercial outcomes

o    Proactively manage personal and team development, embedding Campion’s values and capability framework to elevate performance and professional growth

Your Skill Set:

o    Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Senior National Retail Manager Leadership role preferably with an Education, Retail or Technology focus

o    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Commerce or Marketing

o    Demonstrated ability in transformational thinking and the development of customer strategies, annual business plans and in store promotional initiatives

o    Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing P&L, budgets and forecasting within high volume retail or customer service sectors

o    Proven ability in the efficient management of national retail operations efficiently with experience in stock control, cash handling and HR procedures

o    Authentic, collaborative leadership style with proven experience delivering large-scale training programs across a national network

o    Excellent relationship management skills with proficiency in effective communication, customer service and problem solving

o    High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Web Based Systems and CRM Applications

o    Experience in Bookmaster and ECO or similar programs preferred but not essential

o    Valid Australian Driver’s Licence essential

o    Working With Children Check [WWCC] essential
