About the role

As the Service Manager at Melbourne Marine Centre, a premier Certified Mercury Service Centre, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department. This is a full-time position based in Dandenong South, VIC. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality marine services to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and coordinate the experienced service team, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of both outboard and sterndrive product

• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice and solutions

• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timelines and to the highest standards

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to service activities

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement streamlined workflows

• Foster a positive, safety-conscious work environment and promote continuous learning

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in a marine/automotive service management or senior technician role

• Thorough knowledge of marine systems, including engines, electrical, and mechanical components

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve issues

• Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities

• Ability to lead and motivate a team of skilled technicians

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in marine mechanics or a related field

• Proficiency in using marine service software and tools
