We are seeking an experienced, confident, and highly organised Functions Operations Supervisor to join our team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for delivering exceptional events and customer experiences.

As a Functions Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of events from setup through to pack down, leading staff, managing operations, and ensuring every function runs smoothly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the operation of functions and events.

• Lead, motivate, and manage staff during events.

• Ensure all function rooms and event spaces are set up to company standards.

• Oversee pack down and reset of venues following events.

• Act as the main point of contact during functions and resolve issues efficiently.

• Maintain high standards of customer service and presentation.

• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure staff productivity throughout events.

• Liaise with management, clients, and other departments to ensure successful event delivery.

• Monitor compliance with venue policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

• Manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in hospitality, events, or function supervision.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• The confidence to make decisions and manage challenging situations.

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

• The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

• A proactive, hands-on approach to work.

• High standards of professionalism and presentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Current RSA certification (preferred or required depending on venue).

Availability

• Weekend work is essential.

• Availability to work evenings and public holidays is required.

• Flexibility to work varying shifts based on event schedules.
