Accommodation Manager

Do you have a passion for hospitality and are looking to work in a regional boutique accommodation venue? 

We are looking for an accommodation manager to join our team and lead our staff on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while achieving operational and financial objectives.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and hands-on hospitality professional with strong leadership capabilities, excellent organisational skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to perform confidently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties will include: 

• Operations management to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable day-to-day operation of the lodge

• Guest communication  

• Ensure rooms and grounds are always presentable and light maintenance conducted 

• General administration such as answering telephones, emails, gift vouchers etc. 

• Leadership of housekeeping and reception team 

• After-hours guest support

• Marketing 

• Reporting and communicating with our restaurant team and owner. 

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in accommodation, hotel, or hospitality management.

• Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills.

• The ability to work independently and confidently oversee lodge operations.

• Exceptional customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

• Experience with budgeting, payroll, financial administration, and reporting.

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

• Experience using hotel property management systems such as Little Hotelier, reservation platforms, and point-of-sale systems.

• High-level computer literacy and administrative capability.

• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements within the hospitality industry.
