FORKLIFT OPERATOR / STORE PERSON

Proudly Australian owned and family operated. we currently operate with 90 staff across multiple sites located in south-east Melbourne. Doogood Australia supply steel fencing solutions for residential, commercial, and civil sectors. Our range includes chain mesh, fencing, gates, associated hardware, and structural manufacturing. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Forklift Operator/store person to join our busy team based at our Doveton locations.

Essential Criteria

• Experience and an LF forklift Licence are required.

• Possess a high level of attention to detail.

• Follow company policies and procedures, including safe work instructions according to the Workplace health and safety system.

• Some heavy lifting is required up to 25kg.

• This is a physically demanding role so some fitness is required.

• Basic computer skills to complete delivery dockets and labels.

• Any experience in using machinery or power tools is a bonus.

• Ability to problem solve on the spot.

• Loves working as part of a team.

Tasks & responsibilities

• The ability to keep the warehouse neat, clean, and tidy at all times

• Forklift Driving Required.

• Picking and Packing Steel - Fencing - Wire for dispatch as required.

• Loading and Unloading Vehicles, trucks. 

• Any steel experience advantageous.

• Helping customers as required

• Getting the workload completed daily.

• Preparation of materials for coating and fabrications.
