About our venues ~

Peter Rabbit Café has been part of Adelaide's hospitality scene for more than 10 years. Tucked away behind the bustle of Hindley Street, it's a little oasis in the middle of the city, known for its beautiful gardens, delicious food, great coffee and laid-back atmosphere.

Puddle Duck is our newest venture opening in Rymill Park this September. The venue will operate as a daytime café, a relaxed lakeside destination for sunset drinks, and a private events venue, changing with the seasons throughout the year.

McGregors Private Events is our dedicated functions venue, hosting everything from weddings and engagement parties to corporate events and private celebrations. It adds another dimension to our hospitality group, creating opportunities to work across both café and events environments.

As we prepare for the opening of Puddle Duck and expand our teams across our venues, we're currently recruiting for a range of exciting opportunities.

A little more about each role ~

Venue Manager & Assistant Venue Manager (Puddle Duck)

Whether you're an experienced Venue Manager or ready to step up into a leadership role, we are looking to the right people to lead Puddle Duck from the beginning. Both of these positions will work closely with our Group Venue Manager, with the scope and responsibility of the role shaped around your experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager or in a similar hospitality leadership role

• Experience leading, mentoring and developing hospitality teams

• Confidence managing rostering, labour, stock control and day-to-day operations

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to establish systems and processes

• A hands-on leadership style and a willingness to jump in wherever needed

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and help shape a brand-new venue from day one

The role, level of responsibility and remuneration package will be tailored to suit the successful candidate/s.

Café Manager (Peter Rabbit)

Part-time or Full-time role.

We're looking for an experienced café leader who thrives in busy café settings, genuinely loves hospitality and is excited to jump straight into a hands-on role within an established and much-loved venue.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Café Manager or similar role

• Strong operational and leadership skills

• Experience managing café service and day-to-day operations

• A genuine passion for hospitality

Level 4 position under the Restaurant Industry Award

Assistant Functions & Events Manager (Group-wide)

Part-time role.

Working across Puddle Duck, Peter Rabbit and McGregors Private Events, you'll support our Group Functions & Events Manager in bringing events to life.

The role combines weekday administration and event preparation with hands-on event delivery, giving you the opportunity to be involved in every stage of the process, from the initial enquiry through to the event itself.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in functions, events or hospitality coordination

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Experience liaising with clients and managing event logistics

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• The ability to balance weekday administration, planning and preparation with evening event service

• Weekend availability, as most of our events are held on Friday and Saturday evenings

The role, level of responsibility and remuneration package will be tailored to suit the successful candidate.

Experienced Baristas (Peter Rabbit & Puddle Duck)

We're looking for baristas who are passionate about coffee and creating great customer experiences.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced café environment

• Confidence preparing high-quality coffee

• Strong customer service skills

• A positive, team-focused attitude

Level 2 or 3 position under the Restaurant Industry Award

FOH Supervisors (Group-wide: Cafe & Functions)

We're looking for experienced hospitality workers to support our management team and help lead service across our venues. This is a hands-on role, so we're looking for people who are confident working in busy café and function environments, learn quickly and are ready to jump straight in.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a busy café or hospitality venue

• The ability to confidently lead and support a team during fast-paced service periods

• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

• A hands-on approach and a willingness to lead by example

• The ability to learn quickly, adapt and jump straight into service

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional customer experiences

Level 3 position under the Restaurant Industry Award
