HOSTEL RECEPTIONIST / ALL-ROUNDER – NOOSA

Flashpackers Noosa | Sunshine Beach, QLD | 25 to 38 hours per week

Flashpackers Noosa is in beautiful Sunshine Beach, just a short stroll from the beach and Noosa Junction. We are a privately owned, social hostel with a relaxed vibe - a home away from home where strangers quickly become friends. With Noosa National Park on our doorstep and so much to explore, it is a special place to work and live.

We are looking for an impressive Hostel Receptionist / All-Rounder to join our team and support our General Manager and 2IC. You will be organised, confident, self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile for our guests. You will be a great collaborator who can juggle a variety of tasks and stay calm when things get busy.

This is not a job where you will sit behind a reception desk all day. No two days are the same. The role is varied, hands-on, social and fast-paced, and you will work closely with the General Manager, 2IC and owners to help continue the success of our vibey social hostel.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming guests and managing check-in and check-out

• Booking tours and sharing local Noosa and community information

• Answering phones, emails and guest enquiries

• Supporting housekeeping and internal laundry when required

• Driving the courtesy bus ferrying travellers locally

• Stock ordering, cleaning of common areas and general operational support

• Assisting with marketing, Canva and social media

• Pitching in wherever needed - this really is an all-rounder role

• Take ownership of the reception area and make it your own, ensuring it is organised, welcoming and runs smoothly day to day.

What we're looking for

• Warm, energetic and genuinely good with people

• Confident, organised and self-motivated

• Flexible and comfortable working in a busy, social environment

• Strong computer skills

• Experience with a property management system (PMS); Cloudbeds is highly desirable but not essential, happy to train the right person

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Canva and social media platforms is highly regarded

• Excellent written and communication skills, with a professional and confident presentation

• Minimum 2 years experience in a reception position
