Customer Service Officer

Unique Homestyle Foods is seeking a talented and dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our fast-paced environment. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring you are providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Often this is the first point of contact for our customers and consumers, and we take pride on ensuring that every interaction is a courteous, informed and positive experience.

Your core duties will include:

• Accurately processing customer orders

• Liaise with other Internal departments to ensure orders, credits and deliveries are carried out in a professional and timely manner

• Maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of product range and categories

• Providing product recommendations and upselling opportunities

• From time to time, make friendly cold calls to potential customers in food industry

• Supporting other departments to ensure systems are maintained

Technical Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your proven experience in a customer service role or similar, preferably in the food industry, have a bright and positive disposition, and of course take pride in providing outstanding customer service.

Ideally you will have

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Previous customer service experience in food industry

• Highly accurate and proficient data entry skills;

• Exceptional time management and attention to detail abilities;

• Confident on the phone and comfortable making occasional cold calls;

• The ability to learn new product ranges and features;

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

• Strong problem-solving skills;

• Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Candidates must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
