Customer Service Officer

Full-Time Permanent | 38 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday

Schnits Frozen Foods is a well-established, family-owned food manufacturing business based in Bibra Lake. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and building strong relationships with customers. Combining customer service, sales support, administration and logistics coordination, you’ll work closely with our Administration and Sales teams to support our customers and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident on the phone, communicates clearly, has excellent attention to detail and genuinely enjoys providing great customer service.

About the Role

Reporting to our Sales Director, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, as well as suppliers, visitors and staff, and will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

Your day will include a varied mix of customer service, sales support and administration. You’ll assist with customer enquiries, process orders, provide accounts administration support, coordinate deliveries and work closely with our customers to provide exceptional service and maintain strong relationships.

This is more than just an administration role – we’re looking for someone who enjoys engaging with customers and supporting our Sales team to encourage repeat business and identify opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to incoming customer phone calls and emails.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing customers.

• Conduct outbound customer calls and support telesales activities.

• Process customer orders and manage order or delivery changes.

• Respond to customer enquiries, resolve customer service issues and provide delivery updates and supporting documentation.

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and liaise with warehouse and logistics teams.

• Welcome visitors, drivers, contractors and customers to the business.

• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable administration.

• Assist with invoicing, statements, reconciliations and credit applications.

• Assist with data entry, scanning, filing and maintaining accurate records.

• Manage office supplies and liaise with suppliers.

• Provide general administrative support across Sales, Finance and Operations.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales support, administration or a similar office-based role.

• Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and building positive customer relationships.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• A professional, friendly and reliable approach.

• A strong customer service focus and positive attitude.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working in manufacturing, warehousing or logistics.

• Exposure to accounts payable or accounts receivable processes.

• Experience using ERP or accounting systems.

• Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or similar.
