Accounts Payable (Part-time)

Sunlover Reef Cruises - taking travellers out to the Great Barrier Reef every day, and Hides Hotel Cairns - a landmark right in the heart of the city. Behind the reef trips, the pontoons, the hotel check-ins and the happy tourists, there's a finance team keeping the wheels turning — and we need a sharp, organised, detail-loving Accounts Payable person to help us do it.

The gig, in a nutshell: Part-time, 24 hours a week (we can talk about how those hours are structured — we're flexible for the right person). You'll be the person who makes sure our suppliers — from fuel providers to fabricators, caterers to contractors — get paid accurately and on time.

What you'll actually be doing:

• Processing supplier invoices and matching them against purchase orders/receipts

• Running payments through Xero and keeping our books immaculate

• Using Traild to streamline invoice approvals and keep everything auditable (previous Traild experience is a big plus, but we'll happily show you the ropes if you're quick on the uptake)

• Reconciling supplier statements and chasing down the odd missing invoice

• Liaising with our operations, sales, engineering and hotel teams to sort out queries before they become problems

• Supporting our small but mighty finance team with ad hoc admin and reporting

You'll be a great fit if you:

• Have solid AP or bookkeeping experience (bonus points for multi-entity environments)

• Know your way around Xero like the back of your hand

• Are the kind of person who gets a small thrill from a perfectly reconciled account

• Communicate clearly and don't let things slip through the cracks

• Can work independently but also enjoy being part of a genuinely friendly team
