Finance & Business Operations Coordinator

The Opportunity
Our client is a Newcastle-based project management consultancy working across the property and construction sectors. With a close-knit, professional and down-to-earth team, they are looking for a capable and approachable all-rounder to support the finance function and keep day-to-day office operations running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role combining recurring finance responsibilities with the practical, people-focused support that helps a small business operate effectively.

What You'll Do

• Manage invoicing, AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll support and regular finance reporting.
• Coordinate office operations, meetings, travel, supplies, facilities, onboarding and team support.
• Help maintain WorkflowMax, Employment Hero and other business systems.
• Be the go-to coordinator for everyday office, equipment and IT support issues.

What We're Looking For

• Practical finance/bookkeeping experience and confidence with Excel and accounting systems.
• Highly organised, accurate and comfortable juggling different priorities.
• Proactive and adaptable – happy to solve a problem rather than wait for someone else to own it.
• Warm, professional and comfortable working closely with Directors and a small team.
• Xero, WorkflowMax or Employment Hero experience is a bonus, not a deal-breaker.

The Details This is a 12-month fixed-term, permanent part-time position, approximately 3–4 days per week, based in Newcastle. Working days can be agreed with the successful candidate.
