An exciting opportunity has become available at our Adelaide property for an Assistant Accommodation Manager to join the Dwell team, reporting directly to the Accommodation Manager.

We are seeking a proactive, customer service-focused individual with strong leadership, operational, and problem-solving skills. This role requires the ability to support the day-to-day management of the property, foster a positive resident experience, and ensure the smooth operation of accommodation services.

As the Assistant Accommodation Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Accommodation Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the property. You will assist with resident relations, team leadership, safety and compliance, incident management, occupancy administration, and the delivery of high-quality accommodation services. You will also act as the point of contact in the Accommodation Manager's absence and contribute to achieving operational and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day site operations, taking ownership of key operational areas, such as resident engagement, compliance, maintenance coordination, and staff support whilst supporting the broader accommodation function and contributing to key administrative and management functions.

• May be required to assume full control, including decision-making authority in the absence of the Accommodation Manager, ensuring continuity of service and operational efficiency.

• Conjunction with the Accommodation Manager has responsibility for the operations and day-to-day running of the site following Australia policies and procedures. Reporting directly to the Accommodation Manager of the site, the Assistant Accommodation Manager will ensure the site is achieving its business objectives in all areas and the delivery of day-to-day operations of the site.

• Ensure that quality and service within the site is maintained to agreed standards, with consideration made to the site's residents, visitors, and primary stakeholders.

• The key areas within this role are as follows: Operations, Facilities Management, Sales and Marketing and Resident Life

Skills and Qualifications

• A degree in hospitality, business management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in operational management within student accommodation, hospitality, or a similar residential sector.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively, coordinate teams, and build strong relationships at all levels.

• Mature, confident, and highly professional with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as database management systems such as StarRez.

• Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Occasional travel may be required.

• Current National Police Check.

• Current 'Working with Children' Check.
