Asset Management / Infrastructure Advisory Consultant or Senior Consultant - Any State

BetterAIM is a national advisory firm delivering leading-edge asset management and infrastructure solutions across Australia. We’re looking for dynamic, inquisitive professionals to join our collaborative team, with flexibility to work full-time or part-time. The role is open to applicants located in any state in Australia.
We are seeking motivated early-career to mid-level professionals (with between 3–7 years of relevant experience) to join our growing asset management and infrastructure advisory team at a Consultant or Senior Consultant level.
The individual will be part of a team delivering services to clients across a range of sectors including Councils, Ports, Water Utilities, Power Utilities, Government Departments, and the Resources sector.
Responsibilities include:Deliver high-quality advisory services across one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure Asset Management, Asset Information Management, and/or Infrastructure Advisory.Support existing client relationships and assist in project delivery.Contribute to the development of new service offerings and digital tools.Learn from and collaborate with experienced team members across sectors including councils, ports, utilities, and government.
This is a hands on doing role and the advisory work you are exposed to initially will depend on your strengths, interests and prior experience.
We don’t expect you to know everything from day one. You’ll work alongside experienced advisors, with the chance to deepen your technical and consulting skills in the areas that interest you most. Most individuals will only have experience in a few of the subjects below, we can therefore offer wide and varied opportunities for skills and knowledge growth across other advisory subjects such as: Strategies (Asset Information Strategies, SAMPs, Asset Class Management Plans etc.), Maturity Assessments and Maturity Improvement Plans, and/or Infrastructure Modelling Engagements, Site Inspections (For Asset Validation, Visual Condition Assessment and Asset Defect Capture), Asset Data Model and Asset Classification System Advisory, CMMS Transition Support, Business Cases etc.

You will apply your existing skillsets to different problems and tap into guidance from the wider project team- Have strong problem solving skills (this includes reaching out to leverage subject matter expertise in the wider team)- Must have a level of understanding of Asset Management per ISO 5500X and IAM Anatomy.- Comfortable working from home - this is largely a WFH role.- Have a level of commercial understanding (do solutions make sense for clients etc.)- Be comfortable delivering high quality written and verbal outputs (you will be writing reports, presenting to clients etc.).- Comfortable working in an advisory environment where you will be expected to demonstrate progress and produce deliverables on a weekly basis. - A team player (we are a relatively small company, we need all team members to support each other).- Based in Australia with permanent residency and a valid drivers licence.
Good to have's:- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Science or field relevant to the above advisory areas.- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an advisory, infrastructure or asset management role.- Exposure to one or more of the following areas is ideal: strategic asset planning, maturity assessments, data modelling, condition assessment, infrastructure modelling.
We service clients nationally, the individual can therefore be based in any state.
