About the Roles:
Join Canberra Health Services and take the next step in your professional career, where you will have the opportunity to influence service delivery, support the development of future clinicians and make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of people across the ACT community.
Community Health and Integrated Care (CHIC) deliver integrated and effective rehabilitation, aged care and community-based services across a broad range of sites throughout the ACT. The CHIC Psychology and Counselling Team provides evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and consultation services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting individuals with complex health, rehabilitation, ageing and chronic pain needs.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a psychologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality clinical care while also providing professional leadership, supervision and education within a specialist health service.
This role is suited to an experienced clinician who can apply a high level of independent professional judgement while managing complex clinical presentations. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality individual and group interventions, adapting clinical approaches to meet diverse client needs and contributing to positive health outcomes across a range of service areas. Working collaboratively with clients, carers, multidisciplinary teams and external agencies, you will facilitate coordinated care, build effective partnerships and support health promotion and service development activities.
As a senior member of the team, you will contribute clinical leadership through the provision of professional supervision, mentoring and training for Psychologists, Allied Health Professionals, students, Allied Health Assistants and other support staff. You will also provide education and consultation to internal and external stakeholders, support quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practice across the service.
The successful applicant will be a confident and experienced psychologist with highly developed clinical reasoning skills, strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, and a demonstrated capacity to work independently within a complex healthcare environment. You will be committed to person-centred care, professional excellence and continuous improvement, while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
