ABOUT THE ROLE
Backam Group is currently seeking an experienced Yard Person/Forklift Operator to join a leading landscaping and building materials supplier based in Brookvale, NSW.
This is an ongoing opportunity offering full-time hours, long-term stability, and the chance to work within a busy and supportive team environment.
You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts, assisting customers, and supporting daily yard operations.

📄 Employment Type: Casual (Ongoing)
⏰ Hours: Monday - Friday | Day Shift
💰 Pay Rate: $39.26 per hour casual
🚀 Start: ASAP
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating Counterbalance Forklifts safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Loading landscaping and building materials onto customer vehicles
• Moving stock and materials around the yard
• Assisting customers with product collections
• General yard maintenance and housekeeping
• Manual handling and lifting
• Assisting with stock control and yard operations

ABOUT YOU
You are a reliable and hardworking forklift operator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment and enjoys hands-on work.
To be successful, you will have:
✅ Current LF Forklift Licence
✅ Previous forklift operating experience
✅ Experience working in a yard, warehouse, or building materials environment
✅ Physically fit and comfortable performing manual labour
✅ Strong customer service and communication skills
✅ Driver's licence and reliable transport
✅ Strong commitment to workplace safety
✅ Positive attitude and team-focused approach
Highly Regarded:

• Experience with landscaping or building materials
• Previous yard hand experience
