Mechanical Fitter

 RCR Mining Technologies has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team located at the Welshpool Workshop

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Maintenance of CNC lathes, mills, horizontal borers and other machining assets

• Projects to improve safety and reliability of existing plant and equipment

• Maintenance of site equipment and facilities

• Installation of new plant and equipment

• Reviewing OEM manuals, drawings, or instructions to ensure reliable operation

• Planning proper sequencing of tasks to complete the assignment

• Assembling items to OEM specifications

• Overseeing, guiding, and assisting Apprentices and Trades Assistants

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• An Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate

• Trade experience in an industrial workshop working with large equipment

• Skills and experience in maintenance of plant equipment stripping and Overhauling to OEM specifications

• To be physically fit to handle heavy manual work

• A solid commitment to safety

• To integrate well as a reliable member of a diverse and multi-skilled team 

• High Risk Work Licences (WAH, FL & Rigging) – preferred but not mandatory
