Support worker

We're seeking compassionate and dedicated support workers in Wollongong to join our team on a casual basis. If you have the passion, skills, and qualifications we're looking for, we want to hear from you!

Your Role and Responsibilities:

· Provide a person-centered care

· Assist with daily living activities and personal care

· Offer social-emotional support

· Organize social meaningful activities and promote community participation

· Undertake light household duties

· Plan and prepare meals

· Aid in mobility

· Manage behaviors of concern

· Report health or behavioral changes

· Handle administrative tasks and maintain records

· Provide respite care to facilitate independent living away from family or primary carers

· Transport clients to appointments

· Support clients with therapy and monitoring

What We Seek:

Individuals with a strong empathy and resilience, adept at thriving in demanding and dynamic environments

· Strong communication and administrative skills

· Passionate, empathetic, and adaptable individuals

· Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community (preferable)

· Relevant experience in disability support

· Valid driver’s license (own car)

· Up-to-date vaccinations

· Proficiency in manual handling and client transferring

· NDIS screening, Working with Children (WWC) check

· Experience with non-verbal participants and behaviors of concern (desirable)

• Interested in night shift

• Persian language background workers are in priority.
