About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to join our Finance team on a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) basis.
This newly created role is ideal for someone looking to build or further develop a career in finance and administration. Working closely with our experienced Finance team, you will provide support across a range of finance functions while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Based at our Wayville Head Office, this role offers flexibility, with working days able to be negotiated to suit the successful applicant and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processingProcess supplier invoices and prepare payments for approvalSupport client billing and receipting, and follow up outstanding accounts as required.Prepare, maintain, and update client Service Agreements and NDIS service quotes in accordance with organisational policies and NDIS pricing arrangements.Process amendments to client Service Agreements and funding changes as directed.Perform bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliationsMaintain accurate financial records and client documentation, and electronic filing system.Assist with month-end finance processes, including reconciliations and reporting preparation.Respond to finance-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.Support data entry, record management and general finance administrationWork collaboratively with the wider Finance and operational teamsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance departmentUndertake other finance and administrative duties as reasonably directed.
About You
You will be organised, eager to learn and have a strong eye for detail. You enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in producing accurate work.
Essential Skills & Experience
Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or currently studying a relevant qualification (or equivalent experience)Previous administration or finance experience (Accounts Payable/Receivable experience highly regarded)High level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to work independently while contributing to a team environmentCurrent National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working withChildren Check (or willingness to obtain)
Highly Desirable
Experience using Xero, ApprovalMax or similar accounting softwareExperience working within the community services, disability or aged care sectorUnderstanding of NDIS or aged care funding environments
