About the Role

We're seeking a talented and experienced Seamstress Independent Contractor to partner with our showroom team in delivering exceptional alteration services to our brides. Through referrals from our showroom, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every gown fits flawlessly, helping each bride look and feel her absolute best on one of the most memorable days of her life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality bridal gown alterations and fittings.

• Conduct alteration appointments with brides, providing professional advice and recommendations.

• Pin, alter and finish gowns to an exceptional standard within agreed timeframes.

• Communicate with the showroom team regarding alteration requirements and timelines.

• Maintain accurate records of alterations and appointments.

• Deliver a warm, professional and personalised experience for every bride.

About You

• Previous experience as a bridal or formalwear seamstress is essential

• Exceptional sewing, fitting and garment alteration skills with strong attention to detail.

• Confident working independently while collaborating with the showroom team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple gowns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• A passion for helping brides look and feel their absolute best.

Contractor Requirements

As this is an independent contractor opportunity, you will be required to have:

• A current Australian Business Number (ABN).

• GST registration (where applicable).

• Public Liability Insurance.

• Your own equipment and tools required to perform alterations.

• The ability to invoice for services provided.
