IPAA Victoria is seeking a Lead, Capability Partnerships to manage and grow a portfolio of professional development programs and tailored capability solutions for organisations across Victoria’s public purpose sector.
This is a customer-facing role for someone who combines strong stakeholder engagement with commercial acumen, program leadership and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer and participant experience.
About IPAA Victoria

About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Program Delivery, the Lead, Capability Partnerships will own an allocated portfolio of public programs and in-house capability solutions.
You will work closely with organisational members and sector stakeholders to understand their capability priorities, identify opportunities and translate needs into clear scopes, proposals and delivery plans. You will also engage and coordinate facilitators, subject matter experts and specialist partners to develop and deliver relevant, high-quality solutions.
You will be accountable for portfolio performance, pipeline development, pricing, margins, program quality, evaluation and key stakeholder relationships.

Brief and coordinate facilitators, subject matter experts, suppliers and delivery partners to deliver high-quality program experiences.
Oversee program delivery, quality assurance, evaluation, reporting, recommendations, tender responses and service agreements across the portfolio.
About you
You are an outcome-focused and commercially aware professional who is confident working with organisational customers and stakeholders. You bring a consultative approach, sound judgement and the ability to move comfortably between strategic portfolio decisions and hands-on program delivery.
You will ideally have:
Experience managing and growing professional development, capability, advisory or customer-facing service portfolios, with accountability for quality, outcomes and continuous improvement.
Strong consultative and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with organisational customers, partners and sector stakeholders.
Commercial acumen and confidence managing portfolio performance, including pipeline, pricing, budgets, margins, demand and commercial viability.
Ability to translate customer needs, sector priorities and market insights into clear scopes, proposals, delivery plans and practical solutions.
Strong program, project or portfolio management capability, including coordinating facilitators, subject matter experts, suppliers and delivery partners to deliver high-quality experiences.
Experience using participant feedback, evaluation data and customer insights to improve program quality, relevance and impact.
Excellent communication, judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and in responsive and nimble ways.
Confidence using Microsoft 365, CRM and reporting systems.
An understanding of the Victorian public purpose sector.
