We have shifts available at our Mid-North Coast (Kempsy), South Nowra, Wellington, Cessnock and Junee sites.

The Role
The Drug and Alcohol Nurse provides a broad range of D&A services for patients within the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network (JH&FMHN).
These services include:
Assessment & management of Intoxication and withdrawal states.Assessment & management of patients requesting to commence on an Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) program or who are being maintained on an OST program whilst in custody.Substance Use and Pregnancy (SUP) program.Brief interventions including provision of harm minimisation strategies and related health education initiatives.Release care planning.
