About the role

We are looking for Farm Hands to join our teams in current vacancies on our Adare Farm (Gatton, QLD 4343). You will be working alongside managers with day-to-day work on the poultry farms. With the scope to progress into future management roles.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Working as part of an effective and efficient team, including following direction from farm manager and assistant farm manager
• Working with livestock daily and making sure bird health and wellbeing is excellent.
• Daily shed routine checks, record keeping, grounds maintenance
• Completing minor repairs, reporting repairs to be made.
• Making sure company policies and biosecurity measures are followed at all times.

About You

We’re looking for someone passionate, open-minded, and driven to lead a high-performing team in a dynamic environment.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Previous experience with Poultry Farming is not essential but would be highly regarded.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on approach to farm management.
• High regard for Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, promoting a positive WHS culture.
• Physical fitness to perform farm duties, supported by a pre-employment functional assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).
• The right to work in Australia.

• Regularly come into contact with pigs or birds, including those kept at your residence.
• Live with someone who works in other poultry or pig operations.
