We are expanding our Australian operations and are looking for an ambitious, energetic, and people-focused Consultation Advisor to join our Gold Coast office.About the Role
As a Consultation Advisor, you will be responsible for speaking with prospective student-athletes and their families, understanding their goals, educating them about U.S. college pathways, and helping determine whether Platform Sports Management is the right fit for them.
This is a consultative sales position—not a high-pressure sales role. Success comes from building trust, asking great questions, providing honest advice, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You’ll become an expert in U.S. college sport pathways and work alongside our support and placement teams to ensure every athlete receives outstanding guidance from their first enquiry.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct ConsultationsMeet with prospective athletes and parents via Zoom, phone, and in person.Build rapport and establish trust quickly.Understand each athlete’s sporting, academic, financial, and personal goals.Educate families on NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and other U.S. college pathways.Recommend the most suitable pathway based on the athlete’s circumstances.
Sales & EnrolmentManage consultations from enquiry through to enrolment.Clearly explain our services and value proposition.Follow up with families professionally and consistently.Achieve individual and team revenue targets.Maintain a high consultation-to-enrolment conversion rate.
CRM ManagementAccurately update CRM after every interaction.Record detailed notes and next steps.Keep opportunities moving through the sales pipeline.Ensure no athlete enquiry goes unmanaged.
Relationship BuildingDevelop relationships with athletes, parents, coaches, schools, and sporting organisations.Represent Platform Sports Management professionally at events and presentations.Contribute to webinars, seminars, and recruitment events.
Team CollaborationWork closely with the Support, Placement, and Operations teams.Participate in weekly sales meetings and coaching sessions.Share insights to improve consultation quality and customer experience.

DesirableExperience in consultative sales.Customer service experience.Sports industry experience.Experience using CRM software (HubSpot preferred).Knowledge of U.S. college sports.University or sporting background.
