The Role
The focus of the Project Manager is to manage the delivery of projects within a specific market remit. Operating as the main Project Manager for Market coordination between JLR Global andJLR’s key regions and markets, the Project Manager will manage all elements of market coordination across 3 channels – brochure, website and the Configurator, as well as having specific responsibility to resolve issues at a regional level.
The Project Manager will be capable and confident in resolving issues and able to work autonomously. This role is pivotal to our internal global organisation, and the dedicated Markets are the client base. This is a truly global position and requires someone who can manage expectations, deliver projects against timelines and communicate effectively.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead your designated market, be the main point of contact for issue resolution, but escalate when requiredManage your clients to successfully deliver print collateral and launch websites according to agreed timings for their designated market(s)Build robust relationships with your JLR Global and local clientsUnderstand that the Project Manager role reports to JLR Global and that the delivery of translated Global assets into local markets is the role’s core objective, rather than the localisation of Global assetsEnsure you are communicating effectively any changes, updates, and work coming in regularly to your clientsBecome a ‘market specialist’ – understanding each of the markets in depth and taking ownership for identified projectsEnsure all timings in the critical path are adhered to without failCollaborate with internal teams and the external Agency partners to resolve issuesWork with the Senior Project Manager to establish and manage project plans through to deliveryWhere deadlines cannot be met, then work with the SPM to work up a manageable contingency planUpdate status reports daily and complete timesheetsUnderstand and adhere to the WoWs and processesWrite clear and concise briefing documents promptly for all stages of the project delivery to enable teams to act quickly on all instructionsUnderstand the overall critical path for the market projects and the client agreed SLA’s for deliveryTake responsibility for all QC and ensuring the correct approval signatures have been given both internally and externally
