Wattle & Wonder Early Learning Centre – Winthrop

Wattle & Wonder Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team in Winthrop.

This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday. Our centre is open 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and as a Responsible Person, you will be required to participate in rotating opening and closing shifts, including early starts and late finishes.

As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality education and care, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to a stimulating learning environment that supports each child's individual development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing high-quality education and care in accordance with the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework

• Acting as the Responsible Person and participating in rotating opening and closing shifts

• Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and their families

• Planning, implementing and documenting engaging learning experiences that reflect children's interests and developmental needs

• Supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development through intentional teaching and play-based experiences

• Maintaining a safe, clean and inclusive learning environment

• Working collaboratively with fellow educators and management to achieve positive outcomes for children

• Contributing to observations, learning documentation and programming

• Ensuring compliance with centre policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

• Acting as a positive role model and contributing to a supportive and collaborative team culture

The successful applicant will have:

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years' experience working in an early childhood setting

• Experience and confidence in taking on the responsibilities of a Responsible Person

• Availability to work rotating early opening and closing shifts

• Current Working With Children Check

• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain)

• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Early Years Learning Framework

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• A genuine passion for early childhood education
