About the role
50,000 lives and counting.
That’s how many South Australians our people support each year.
As one of the state’s leading not-for-profits, we’re making a meaningful impact at scale. From foster care to aged care and everything in between, our services are as diverse as the people and communities we serve - and we’re growing our reach for the future.
It takes a special kind of person to work in this sector. Someone with real compassion and care. Could that person be you?
Join us as a Mentor, and be part of something bigger.
As a youth Mentor you will be matched with a child or young person under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive who may be feeling disconnected from education or community supports. Each week you will spend meaningful time together doing an activity you plan together, it might be going for a walk, catching a movie, playing a sport, or grabbing a bite to eat.
Through regular outings you will build a safe, supportive relationship where young people feel encouraged to grow, try new things and work towards their personal goals.
Being a Mentor at AnglicareSA is about connection, encouragement, and being someone who shows up each week.
This is a casual/ client-linked role working aprox. 3 hours per week (1 shift).
We have vacant positions in the Southern & Northern suburbs.
