Position Overview

Due to growth, we are seeking a skilled Survey Draftsperson, or an Office Based Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing survey plans. You will work closely with surveyors and clients to ensure precise and compliant survey documentation. With the support of our experienced Drafting Manager, you will receive continuous guidance and mentorship, ensuring you have the resources and tools needed for success.  Key Responsibilities

 Drafting & Documentation:

• Prepare and manage survey drawings, including feature and contour surveys, survey plans, and as-constructed plans.

• Ensure all survey plans are accurate, high-quality, and compliant with industry standards.

• Maintain and update the survey CAD framework.

 Client & Team Collaboration:

• Liaise with surveyors, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

• Communicate effectively to clarify information, resolve discrepancies, and obtain necessary authorisations.

 Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all plans adhere to ST Spatial, client, and industry quality standards.

• Assist to identify, review, and enhance survey drafting procedures while implementing effective solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential: 

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

• Strong knowledge of survey plan preparation and documentation.

• Experience in a similar role within land surveying or engineering.

• Strong communication, administrative, and organisational skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Desirable:

• Experience in cadastral plans for lodgement at Landgate (NLR experience is an advantage).

• Experience preparing data for surveyors to setout in the field.

• Qualifications in Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with LISCAD software.
