Medical Receptionist – Casual

About the role

A Medical Receptionist position on a casual basis at a premium diagnostic imaging clinic in Carseldine. This role is vital to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, serving as the welcoming face for patients and providing essential administrative support. Hours: 2–3 days per week + occasional Saturdays.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in patients warmly and professionally

• Managing appointment bookings, scheduling, and general patient enquiries

• Processing referrals, patient billing, and Medicare/health fund claims

• Liaising with referring doctors, specialists, and clinical staff

• General administrative duties to ensure a smooth, efficient front-desk workflow

About you

• Previous experience in medical imaging / radiology OR general medical reception is essential

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail

• A compassionate, patient-first approach

• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and thrive in a busy clinic setting

• Strong computer literacy and experience with medical booking/billing software
