The Role
Help Council prepare for the Spring/Summer program as a Plant Operator – Civil Maintenance. In this full-time, fixed term role you will be hands-on delivering essential infrastructure works across the shire, including sealed and unsealed roads, drainage, footpaths and civil assets. You will safely operate a range of plant and equipment while also undertaking general labouring duties to support maintenance and construction activities, ensuring works are completed to required standards and timeframes. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork, with responsibility for maintaining equipment, responding to urgent maintenance needs and contributing to high-quality service delivery for the Moorabool Shire community.

About You
You will have prior experience in civil maintenance and construction, with demonstrated capability in operating a range of plant and equipment such as graders, excavators, loaders and trucks. You have sound knowledge of sealed and unsealed road maintenance, drainage and concrete works including kerb, channel and culverts, combined with the ability to undertake general labouring tasks involving physical work and varying conditions. You will hold relevant licences and tickets (including MR licence and White Card) and have a strong understanding of OH&S responsibilities. You are a reliable team player who can also work independently, communicates respectfully and committed to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for the community
