TOCCA A Modern Italian Restaurant in Werribee Victoria looking for a chef. Serving quality and traditional Italian cuisine. Our restaurant in Werribee is a fully licenced Italian restaurant.

It is trading 7 days. We are seeking a full time cook with the right attitude and passion for working in Italian kitchen. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking, a good understanding Italian food preparation and the ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.

  Benefits Work with well reputed restaurant full-time position Opportunity for career growth Task & responsibilities Preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and recipes. Preparing ingredients including vegetables, meats, sauces, pasta and other food items for cooking.

Cooking food to the required quality, portion size and presentation standards. Assisting with the preparation of daily specials and menu items. Ensuring food is prepared and served in a timely manner, particularly during busy service periods.

Cook meals according to customer requests and dietary requirements, including vegetarian,  gluten-free and other dietary requirements Checking the quality and freshness of food and ingredients before preparation and cooking. Following correct food storage, temperature control and food handling procedures. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils and food preparation areas.

Following workplace health and safety and food safety requirements at all times. Assisting with stock rotation and minimising food wastage. Working cooperatively with the Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Assisting with other general kitchen duties as required. Qualification & experience 1–2 years of relevant work experience as a Cook or Chef in a commercial kitchen. Experience working in an Italian restaurant or with Italian cuisine will be highly regarded.

Cert IV in Commercial cookery or equivalent Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures. Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced kitchen.
