Social Media Specialist

About the role

As the Social Media Specialist at Anita Gelato, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's digital presence and engaging with its growing online community. This full-time position is will take you around Australia and even to New Zealand, as you will spend time in our shops to create content. You will also be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies to promote the Anita Gelato brand, increase brand awareness, and foster meaningful connections with our customers.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to support the company's marketing and communications objectives

2. Create and curate engaging, on-brand content that resonates with our target audience

3. Manage and monitor the company's social media presence, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

4. Collaborate with the operations team to align social media efforts with broader campaign initiatives

5. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices, and implement new strategies to ensure Anita Gelato remains at the forefront of digital marketing
   

What we're looking for

1. A Gelato lover!

2. Experience in a social media or digital marketing role is preferred, preferably within the food and beverage industry

3. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand content

4. Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices

5. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media data and draw actionable insights

6. Passion for social media, digital marketing, and the food and beverage industry

7. Flexibility to work from multiple locations

8. Australian work rights required
