AI Operations Coordinator

Remote (South Africa)

Monday – Friday, 05:00–13:00 SAST Full-Time 

R30,000–R40,000 per month (experience-dependent)

Scale your AI expertise on an international stage and drive real-world automation remotely from South Africa.

You will support the end-to-end configuration and rollout of AI-powered agents, automations, and training programs across all business functions. Sitting at the intersection of technical AI execution, L&D, and change management, you will drive measurable adoption while stepping up to cover core leadership responsibilities during key leave periods.

• AI & Automation Build: Design, configure, and maintain custom AI agents, low-code automations, and workflows within the approved tech stack (Google Gemini/Meet).

• Training & Enablement: Plan and deliver structured, department-specific AI training sessions, supporting materials, and live troubleshooting to drive adoption.

• Documentation & SOPs: Build, document, and maintain a centralized library of prompts, workflow SOPs, and development steps for cross-functional reuse.

• Governance & Tool Evaluation: Partner with leadership to align AI tools with data privacy, compliance, and internal governance frameworks.

• Interim Leadership Coverage: Fully cover the main responsibilities of the AI Implementation Manager during maternity leave.

• Adoption Tracking & Continuous Improvement: Measure training effectiveness, track workflow time-savings, gather user feedback, and iterate on solutions.

• Experience & Certifications: 2–5 years of experience across AI/automation implementation or L&D, backed by recognized AI/ML and Software Development certifications, plus a relevant degree (HR, L&D, Education, Org Psychology) or equivalent experience.

• Core Technical/Specialized Skills: Hands-on experience with modern LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot), low-code automation tools, and software development/coding fundamentals.

• Background & Domain Expertise: Strong L&D or instructional design background, comfortable facilitating live training for groups with varying technical fluency.

• Technical Translation / Delivery: Proven ability to translate complex AI capabilities into practical, department-specific use cases and clear playbooks.

• Working Style: Highly autonomous and self-directed program owner with a patient, supportive, and discreet approach to managing sensitive data and guiding change.
