Boutique Lawyers is seeking a Building & Construction Lawyer to join our Melbourne CBD practice.

We are open to lawyers with any level of post-admission experience. If your experience is in commercial or civil litigation rather than specifically building and construction law, we would also be interested in hearing from you.

This is an opportunity to join a boutique practice, work directly with experienced practitioners and have meaningful involvement in matters and direct contact with clients.

The Role

You will work across a broad range of building and construction matters, including:

Domestic and commercial building disputes

Building defect and defective works claims

Construction contract disputes and advice

Insurance claims

VCAT proceedings

County Court and Supreme Court litigation

Advising builders, developers, owners corporations, homeowners and other participants in the building and construction industry

The level of responsibility and autonomy will be tailored to your experience.

About You

You will:

Be admitted as an Australian Lawyer

Have experience in building and construction law, commercial litigation or civil litigation, or a genuine interest in developing experience in this area

Have strong written and verbal communication skills

Be organised and able to manage competing priorities

Have strong attention to detail

Be comfortable communicating directly with clients

Be proactive, practical and willing to learn
