The Opportunity

Are you an inspiring leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead Cadell transport operations at our Echuca facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will guide the transport team through daily performance while shaping future success through strong planning, leadership and operational excellence. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, service quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved while maintaining strong working relationships with drivers, clients, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of daily transport operations to meet our customer deliveries.

• Manage financial performance, ensuring adherence to transport budget targets including labour & R&M

• Deliver against KPIs across labour, DOT efficiency and customer outcomes.

• Provide effective people leadership, including recruitment, performance management, training, communication, weekly face to face toolbox talks and policy compliance.

• Ensure full compliance with Employee Safety including CoR & HACCP.

• Manage Omnitracs delivery Roadnet/Routing Software to complete daily routing, update master data and optimise daily deliveries.

About you:

• 5+ years of proven experience in Transport management

• Leadership experience in a customer-focused transport environment managing 20 staff members.

• A valid driver’s licence either MR or HR licence is required.

• Strong systems experience and planning/technology capability

• Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, operate under pressure and think strategically

• Accountability and self-leadership, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality results

Candidates with prior experience in Food Service, 3PL supply chain and warehousing & distribution industries will be highly regarded. It is expected that candidates will be able to address a significant proportion of the above requirements within their application.
