Travel Manager - 3 month contract

3-Month Contract | Group Travel | Events & Travel ManagementAre you an experienced travel professional with a strong background in group travel and domestic travel management?We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Travel Manager to join an events team on a 3-month contract, managing group travel and extension arrangements for delegates and partners. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, customer service and strong supplier relationships are essential.About the RoleYou will be responsible for managing end-to-end domestic group travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, tours and travel extensions. You will work closely with airlines, hotels, suppliers, delegates and the internal operations team to ensure every booking and travel movement runs smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesBook and manage delegate and partner group travel and extension itineraries.Manage travel data in Aventri and EventsAir, ensuring 100% accuracy across flights, accommodation and activities.Liaise with major domestic airline GSO portals, including Qantas, Virgin and Jetstar.Coordinate with hotels, airlines and other travel suppliers.Manage end-to-end group reservations, including accommodation, flights and tours.Manage group airline ticketing processes and associated travel documentation.Ensure accurate cost allocation and payment data.Provide expert travel advice to delegates extending their travel beyond event dates.Prepare, dispatch and quality-check e-tickets and travel documentation.Produce and distribute accurate reports to hotels, airlines and the operations team.Maintain comprehensive and accurate project filing systems.About YouYou will bring:3–5 years' experience in Group Travel, across domestic and international travel.Strong knowledge of domestic airline ticketing, schedules and travel procedures.Experience working with Qantas, Virgin and Jetstar GSO portals and group booking systems.Amadeus GDS experience.Experience using EventsAir and Aventri event management systems.Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Outstanding customer service skills.Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage multiple tasks.Confidence working autonomously while also contributing positively to a team.A proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated approach.What’s on Offer3-month contract opportunityWork within a professional events and travel environment.Varied group travel and event-related responsibilities.Opportunity to utilise your specialist group travel and domestic airline expertise.A role where your organisation, accuracy and customer service skills will make a real impact.Applicants must have relevant visas and the right to work in Australia.
