Demi Chef and Chef de partie Chefs required

Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club is seeking to appoint a Demi Chef and Chef de Partie to join their dynamic kitchen in their state-of-the-art clubhouse, located near the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for someone who will share our passion for food and is driven to be the best in the business.  

Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, these roles will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and the rest of the team in delivering high-quality food to the club’s members and guests. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a high standard and consistent quality in the daily preparation of food whilst keeping up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques

• Coordinating daily tasks with the kitchen team

• Possessing comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards

• Working within a team of professionals and the willingness to be better.

To be successful in this role you must:

• Have (as a minimum) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and at least 2 years' experience working in a well-established restaurant or full-service hotel for a Chef de Partie, Demi chef.

• Have a sound understanding of all kitchen operations including section ordering, stock takes and an understanding of current food trends

• The ability to work autonomously

• The ability to take direction

• A punctual, professional and reliable manner

• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings

• High-level organisational skills and attention to detail
