Membership Consultant

About the role

Fernwood is Australia's largest women-only fitness community, and our clubs are growing. We're looking for an enthusiastic Membership Consultant who loves connecting with people, building relationships, and helping women take the first step towards achieving their health and fitness goals. This is a fast-paced, sales-focused role where every conversation has the potential to change someone's life. You'll be the friendly face and voice of the club, welcoming enquiries, conducting club tours, following up leads, and helping prospective members find the membership that's right for them. Success in this role comes from creating genuine connections, delivering exceptional customer service, and consistently achieving sales and retention targets.

Key responsibilities

• Responding promptly to new enquiries by phone, email, and SMS
• Conducting engaging club tours that inspire women to join
• Following up leads using our proven sales process
• Converting enquiries into memberships while delivering an outstanding experience
• Building relationships with members to maximise retention and referrals
• Achieving individual and club sales targets
• Assisting with reception duties and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every member and guest
• Supporting club promotions, community events, and marketing campaigns

About you

• Loves talking to people and building rapport
• Is confident asking for the sale and handling objections
• Has previous sales or customer service experience (fitness industry experience is a bonus but not essential)
• Is organised, proactive, and follows through on commitments
• Can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
• Brings positive energy and a genuine passion for helping women succeed
• Is available to work a combination of mornings, afternoons/evenings, and weekends
