Centre Director (Nominated Supervisor)

About the role

Epping North Out of School Hours Care Program (OSHCP) is looking for a Centre Director to lead a professional Education and Care Team. This dynamic role will lead service quality, partner relationships and identify growth opportunities to provide excellent care. The position will work with children, their families, valued staff and the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and know the compliance and legislative requirements for OOSH

• Implenting high quality educational programs and lead reflective practice for continous improvements

• Develop and manage a team of casual and permanent staff

• Work closely with management company and active parent committee

• Oversee, develop and monitor the service with Parent Committee

About you

• Bachelor of Primary Education or Certificate IV / Diploma in Children's Services / Diploma in OSHC or currently working towards same, OR at least 2 years' experience working in an OSHC environment preferably in a management / supervisor role

• At least 2 years' experience in working with children aged 5-12 years in an OSHC environment

• Knowledge and experience in National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place and National Regulations

• Ability to plan and implement a program of activity for primary school aged children

• Current Senior First Aid Certificate / Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates or willingness to obtain

• Current Supervisors Certificate or willingness to obtain

• Good knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements

• Current Working With Children Check

• Accredited Child Protection Certificate (Identify and respond to children and young people at risk) or willingness to obtain

• Professional and co-operative approach to working with staff, families and the school community

• Enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong leadership and management skills

About us

Epping North OSHCP is a vibrant, accredited Before/After School and Vacation Care service for around 80 children per day. The service operates from dedicated facility located on the leafy grounds of Epping North Public School. As a Not for Profit Community Based service we take pride in our service and look to actively support staff through professional development in an inclusive team environment.
