Medical Receptionist - Permanent Part-time

About the role

A busy specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice in Glen Waverley is seeking a permanent Part-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and managing telephone and other enquiries

• Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments

• Managing patient records, correspondence and billing using Genie

• Liaising with patients, doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers

• General administrative duties to support the efficient running of the practice

About you

• Previous experience in a medical reception or specialist practice environment

• Some knowledge or previous experience with Genie medical software is preferred

• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional and compassionate manner when dealing with patients

• Good attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

• Understanding of patient confidentiality and the handling of sensitive medical information
