Medical Receptionist - General Practice

We are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic person to join our medical practice!

We need someone available Wednesdays and Thursdays to start, with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts when available.

What will your day look like?

As part of our reception team, you’ll be right at the heart of the practice. Your role will include:

• Answering and managing incoming phone calls

• Welcoming patients and checking them in and out

• Processing patient payments

• Taking messages and communicating information to doctors, nurses and other providers

• Using Best Practice medical software

• Managing and responding to emails

• Sending and receiving correspondence, including faxes

• Scanning, filing and maintaining patient records

• Ensuring patient information is handled with the highest level of privacy and confidentiality

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, communicates confidently and takes pride in providing excellent service to patients. You’ll be part of a supportive healthcare team, so being organised, reliable and able to work well with others is important.

Previous medical reception experience is desired, however we will provide training if needed.
